Lindsay was initiated into Tri Sigma in February 2008 and immediately became a sister who was deeply loved for her vibrant personality, compassion, and dedication to the sorority.

While at Ursinus College, Lindsay was a highly respected student leader. She was an Environmental Studies major, a Biology minor, a Bonner leader, a Bonner senior intern, Campus Safety intern, President of RHA and CAB – and the list goes on. She studied abroad in both Italy and Costa Rica, and loved to tell stories about her experiences there. As an Environmental Studies major, she spent a summer in San Francisco for an internship. She also did independent research about education programs at the Camden Aquarium, focusing on sharks. Sharks were one of the great passions of her academic work, which comes as no surprise to those of us who knew her. She was passionate about Greek life and served as the Inter-Greek Council President of Sororities. Above all, Lindsay was a dedicated member of Tri Sigma who always wore her letters with pride and conviction.

What truly made Lindsay special was her dedication to community service. While at Ursinus, she participated in as many service activities as possible. When she graduated in 2011, she was offered a position with Teach for America in North Carolina, which she gladly accepted. Lindsay worked hard to raise money for her classroom and to give her students the best educational experience possible. While she was teaching, she was able to receive funding to start a drama club for the students at her school. Lindsay left a lasting impression on her students and co-workers, just as she did on her sisters and the entire Ursinus community.

As sisters, we continue to honor Lindsay Budnick’s vibrant personality, dedication to service, and passion for life. Lindsay was a loving girlfriend, daughter, sister and friend. She was supportive, motivated, intelligent, and had a heart of gold… and while she is gone, she will never, ever be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Lindsay.
